These are woven baskets made by a group of women who have come together from different villages to form a cooperative, 250 women strong from East and West Africa. My dear friends, Meghan and Zion, both from Africa, personally vetted this collective, know their families and export them to Canada directly, often custom ordered. Woven Hope Collective brings hope to these women, their families and their dreams.
These women have been able to support their families and supplement the family farming income through the sales of their woven baskets. Each woman alone cannot keep up with the demand, but together they are able to fullfill orders from all over the world. United they are strong and united they have financial independance.
Woven African Baskets
Woven basket with soft suede that wraps the handles protecting the wearer for easy hand, shoulder or forearm holding. The height, circumference and width vary by design.
